she joined the Happy Go Lucky Fiddlers in 1995.
In 1996 Juanita started to play the mandolin. She learned this instrument
on her own with no lessons. During this time she also started to play the guitar again. While learning the chords
on her own she took some picking lessons from Bob Crawford.
In 1997 she met Winston Armstrong at a Happy Go Lucky Fiddler practice.
The two teamed up playing together at Fiddling shows but soon started to do their own gigs. Also in 1997 she took up
her fourth instrument...the tenor banjo.
In 1998 Winston and Juanita left the Fiddlers and did their first
stage show alone. Since then they have played for many private gigs, concerts, round and square dances.
